A WORLD OF SUPPORT: No One Need Suffer Alone

We live in a dangerous and violent jungle. J.G. Ballard, sci-fi writer supreme names our modern world, “The Elaborately Signaled Environment.” Like traffic lights, billboards, crossways, stop signs, no parking, one way only, no trespassing, push to open, pull to close, and my favorite, Yield…ha, ha, ha…
It gets worse. Go to a large super store and watch people stare zombie like at all the selections of cereal, cat food, or bread. It’s like the “Night of the Living Dead.” They are in the ozone.
I used to point out to Patrice that you can pretty much get a take what a person is about just by looking at what is in their shopping cart. Sixty percent of this nation’s people are obese. Mucho stress out there in that jungle! How to deal?
Too many choices in this world can make you nuts. Excessiveness, compulsion and obsessions abound. Like we all know, a jungle out there…
The emotional/mental depression business is making the pharmaceutical companies rich beyond imagination. I could go on, but you get the point.
This post is simply about obtaining help and support. Talk therapy is the greatest human tool on this globe. Getting with those like you and communicating.
Admitting you have a disorder is half the battle, and it doesn’t cost $180 per session neither. It is FREE!
Speaking only for myself, I have found a way to remain clean and sober for almost nine years. Patrice too. Thanks everyone. You know who you are.
I’ll keep this short and sweet. If you have a problem which is making your life unmanageable, there is a wealth of help available to you. Just keep an open mind, use the phone book or the internet, and get on it. I have a new life because I accepted I had a problem greater than my own ability to correct it, and I needed help to deal with it.
Nowadays I have a gratefully abundant life and I am a happy man.
Thanks for reading this. Check out the left side bar at the top of this blog. This is just a little public service effort from me to those of you who might be in a jam.
Sincerely, with Love

Keep coming back!

Good for you for making a great point. I've seen many people avoid their own issues by saying that they can't afford help, or they have nowhere to turn. It might take some persistence and some investigation, but I believe that there IS help for those who truly want it. Maybe someone is reading this and will be compelled to get the help they need. DEAR BETH,
FINDING HELP IS SO EASY IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. THE TRICK IS, YOU GOTTA BE READY FOR THAT HELP. THAT MEANS ACCEPTANCE COMES FIRST. AS ALWAYS, THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND HELPFUL INSIGHTS.
