WOW! A lot of great memories in the old Grande Ballroom! The MC-5 really were a mind expanding force! I'm happy to say I saw them many times, and they did influence my brothers and I, as well as our friends.
MC5 fully inspirational hard rock movement!!wish i was around back in those magic Grande days:-)
right after I met you at the Callwood wedding.
I went back home and told my friends and they had been quoting something you said from the documentary "A call to arms!" hahahaha, and then I watched that doc. that that was in. hahaha, my friends and I realized that out of all the rock bands, we really loved listening to the MC5 play the blues, we didn't think we would, cuz my friends and I love stuff like the MC5, Stooges, Zeppelin, The Stones, Blue Cheer, old school american punk. etc, etc, etc,
but a lot of times get bored of blues jams and white dudes singing the blues, there was all this amazing footage of you guys jamming out.
when are you rockin next?

'm sure you get plenty of messages telling you how great you are and all that shit, but here's another one. I can't really say everything I'd like to in a short enough message for you to actually read, but I want to say thanks man.
The fact that I was born and raised in mid-Michigan (Ypsi-ssissippi) makes my love of this music somehow different in a way...I don't want to call it brotherhood because I don't even know you, but it feels like some level of that. Thanks for having the balls to be yourself, you and the MC5 continue to reassure people like me who can't help but notice shit in this country and on this planet is fucked up, you've left a mark for years and years and years to come. And not just your ways either, you obviously knew (and know) how to PLAY, man. Great songs delivered with unmatched ferocity. Inspiring to me as a musician and as a human in general. THANK YOU.
Hi Dennis!
How are you?
Hope you are well and this message gets to you.
It's Barrie here from Primal Scream.I Just wanted to get in touch and say hello.Forgive me I'm so behind the times I've not been online for long.
When you played at the Royal Festival Hall and we joined you onstage for the encore it was one of the greatest nights of my life-It was a privilege and an honor none of us will ever forget. When you kicked in the beat to Black To Comm it blew me away.
If ever you're back in the UK anytime it would be great to see you.
Your music means so much to many people here.
Love to the 5,
Barrie X
