Hey Dennis!, I met you and the band back in 68 right after the Kick Out The Jams came out. My freinds sister Bonnie lived at the house on Hill St. for a while and took some of us MC5 fanatics there to meet you guys. Smoked some herb with you guys a couple times, and thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Pun used to give us a bunch of Panther literature which we passed out at school[Belleville High], and gave us a stack of promo posters for the album. To me it was like meeting the Beatles! You guys[the 5] WERE the best rock n' roll band at the time, none better! I even had the High Time album with me in Viet Nam! I just want to tell you how much you guys meant to me and my freinds, you brought the house down everywhere you played, especially at the Detroit Pop Festival held at the old Olympia! After every band finished their sets I remember the crowd chanting for the MC5!!! You guys played second to last, and after your set was done, there was only a hand full of people left to see the Amboy Dukes! You rocked then and you still rock now! Thanks for the memories then and new ones to come! Forever a devoted fan!!!

Props to you. Loved your music from the first time I heard it, to late, on High Time.
I'm curious what album/ recording you're talking about in the production discussion w/ england and stuff.
The earlier records are great esp the amazing first live but those were not visible here in So Cal when you guys were making that music.
I think the High Time production is on target.
I managed to stay out of the military. Many of my friends died or came back brainwashed, traumatized and terminally confused. Sad.
For sure your music had a big influence on mine in Black Flag, WURM etc.
Thanks again.
Nice and Friendly
Chuck

"these pictures are so precious. Now we know why people who lose their pictures in a fire or flood are devastated."
