MACHINEGUN'S FAVORITE BANDS

My favorite bands without a doubt are The Who, The Jimi Hendrix Experience & The John Coltrane Quartet. I played with the Who three times and got drunk with their drummer Keith Moon once in Hollwood. Played with Jimi at Ford Auditorium in Detroit. Never saw John Coltrane live unfortunately as he passed away. I love these bands and I still study their music especially the drummers from all three. They are still teaching me to be a better drummer as I grow older and trust me, you can never get good enough!

DENNIS,
Just heard something on the radio that made me think of the MC5 and
so looked you up on Google, hit the blog etc.
Great to hear you're still kicking it out!!!!
You probably don't remember me, Bonnie. I was married to your guitar player
from the Secrets, Bob Slap.
Are you on the 'dreaded' Face-book?
If so, if you want to, friend me! My last name is Stoehn.
Technology has come a long way since the "old" days.... but I do recall you
doing the computer stuff for Chucky Cheese or something like that....
Hey, Keep On Rockin'!!! Bonnie

"Moon was an absolute genius! Listening to his drums, even in studio recordings, there is usually a slight variation throughout the entire song. No repetition, no stagnation. Continual invention and the end result are performances without compare! This is a man who truly LOVED playing and Keith could not contain this love if he had to. There is no "pacing"himself...it was all out or nothing!!!"
"HENDRIX??? YOU ARE THE MAN!!!"
"is there any footage of you and moon the loon together getting wild?"
"Coolness!"
"Anyone who could keep up with Keith Moon in the drinking department is worthy of note....."
"Jimi was in Hamburg in 1967 from March17.-19. for 3 days, together with Mitch Mitchel and Noel Redding. It was the concert of the year.
The little Pub right near the club was called "Gretel & Alfons". At that place you could met most of the Stars after their gig at the "Star Club".
A lot of the bands and singers started their career in Hamburg, Germany. All bands and singers I had seen at the "Star Club", you can find at my FB-site (down on the left). Enjoy."
