Thanks for the ad on myspace.
I've worn out 8 copies of the vinyl version of KOTJ over the years. Sorry to hear about the Hawk - my condolences.

I've been out of radio since WDET except for a year at CJAM in Windsor, and some time at WWJ as a engineer. I would love to get back on the air and I still send out tapes every so often.

After WDET I got into production and band management but lost my edge when Johnny Angelos commited suicide during my negotiations with Warner Brothers for his band the Reputations. I don't know if you remember him from the Gold brothers and a short time with Nugent.

I saw DKT/MC5 when you played Detroit - and that was like a dream come true. I saw almost every show the MC5 played at the Grande and other places. I loved going home with my ears still ringing and a goofy smile on my face.

Thank you for all of the great music. I wish there was more. Any chance DKT will tour again?

Great , I'm back where they let me write whatever I want !! Great Freedom of Speech!!! I was just thinking about the time I went to Olympia Stadium in early 70's. A Rock & Roll Show from 12 noon till Midnight. I would have to say not the best acoustics to play in. The Frijid Pink sounded fair and in the middle a guy got up butt naked near the projection show- Tom the lead singer said , "I don't know why he's so proud I got more than that", I think he was lying the looked pretty well hung. The Fruit where there , I liked that "Blow me" song.After hearing bands for 8 to 9 hours they started sounding alot alike and really echoing. Well I know the MC5 came out Later!!!! The Flags Hung Over There Amps!!
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DID , THEY CAME THROUGH AGAIN !! THE MC5 WOKE THE PLACE UP AND SOUNDED BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER BANDS. THEY KNEW HOW TO PUSH THE AIR AROUND BABY!!! LIKE I SAID, THE BEST LIVE ACT EVER!!!!!! High Energy Action !!!! StarShip!! take me.....No album , no video could ever depict what actually happened when you were at a Live MC5 Show - They where Special Magic Moments that can never be repeated or re-inacted again. If you did not get to see them once in your life time all I can say is sorry - you missed out. I was lucky or blessed enough to get to see 3 great Shows. How do sound that Good outside ? especially back then. Mr Zug Island Blues

Do "your" drumsticks ship from you or from somewhere else? Either way, can you do a short note to the recipient...personal touch kinda thing ? My kid brother played drums for a few garage bands and our hope is to inspire one or both of my nephews to keep up the tradition.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I can tell that you had, and still have, great affection for him. I hope you parted on good terms.

"Listen to yourself. Quiet down and rest your thoughts with some silence each day." Interesting that you say that. As much as I love music, I find myself preferring the peace and quiet of the day. I listen to the sounds outside, whether it's birds or the wind, or sometimes just complete silence. It's very calming.
